FC Malmö have signed Colombia midfielder Yoreli Rincón and German defender Kathleen Radtke ahead of their UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-final with Olympique Lyonnais.
Rincón, 19, is considered one of the brightest prospects in the game, having helped Colombia to their first FIFA Women's World Cup and Olympic women's football tournaments over the last couple of years, as well as the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup semi-finals after knocking out Sweden. The 28-year-old Radtke, meanwhile, arrives on a 12-month deal from FF USV Jena, for whom she had been ever-present this season.
Previously at Brazil's EC XV de Piracicaba, having first broken into the Colombian league set-up aged 12, Rincón said: "It is a dream to get the chance to play for Malmö, one of the top clubs in Europe. I am also looking forward to playing in the Champions League and facing Lyon."
Radtke was recommended by Malmö's Germany forward Anja Mittag, with whom she began her senior career in 2002 at 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. She said: "I want to thank those in charge at [Jena] for not putting obstacles in my way. This is too good a chance to refuse at my age. In particular, the possibility to play for a championship and to play in the Champions League is very attractive."
Malmö take on Lyon over two legs in late March. They begin the new Swedish season on 13 April having finished second in 2012, ensuring a European place for 2013/14.
